Save up for that Doll!

Once you realize you want that doll, you need to start saving to have enough cold hard cash to spend on it. So here are some quick tips to save some money.

  1. Put a little money aside each month for that doll

  2. Consider what you really need and if you don't need it, save it!

  3. Don't go out as much. This can mean not going out to eat, shopping, etc.

  4. Start a change or saving jar from all those coins laying around.

  5. Don't impulse buy. Think about the fact that you could use that money towards the doll.

  6. Keep a record of what you spend and stop overspending if it's not necessary.

  7. Use coupons. Put the money you saved in the doll fund.

  8. Try trading for goods instead of buying them.

  9. Make lunch at home. Stop buying those cafeteria lunches they will cost more in the end!

  10. Buy in bulk at places like Costco or Sam's Club. This is often cheaper than buying items by themselves.

  11. Go to the library and stop buying books. You can also use a service where you swap books you already own.

  12. Borrow items that you only need on occasion, such as tools.

  13. If you shop online a lot look into cash back programs, such as Ebates.

  14. Look for cheaper cable, cell phone, or internet plans. Consider if you even need a cable plan or if you would be fine with just streaming content.

  15. Quit expensive food habits, such as soda.

  16. Lower your bills. Turn off the lights, wash dishes by hand, don't turn the heating on as often, etc.

  17. Buy things second hand. It costs less and often offers the same quality of product.
